Is Your Bra Kaput?

Signs That Your Bra is Kaput

Your underwear is the foundation for your clothing, so it is extremely important that you have the right fit!  Below are a few signs that it may be time to toss that old bra and get you a brand new one!

1.  The band is slack, not snug.  In other words, your band has lost its stretch and/or elasticity.

2.  The straps are as tight as they will go, yet they keep falling off your shoulders.  Again, this means that the stretch and/or elasticity has worn out.

3.  The fabric looks old and it is pilling.  Come on!  Don’t you want to feel sexy in your underwear?  Old, faded, pilled fabric certainly doesn’t make me feel sexy.

4.  The underwire is bent or twisted.  This usually occurs from washing and drying your bras, too much.  I suggest hand washing and air-drying your bras.  At the very least, set your washing machine on delicate or hand wash,  but definitely still let you bra air-dry!

So, how many of you are in the market for a new bra now?  🙂

Love,

Erin

  1. Good advice! I have really learned what a difference a good bra makes in how all your clothes fit. American women typically buy too large a band size and too small a cup. And definitely hand wash and air dry! And bras should not be kept longer than a year. I’ve also learn that you should be re-fitted anytime you lose or gain 25 pounds. Your size really changes!
