To Shred or Not to Shred

Ten Items That You Should Definitely Shred

1.  Preapproved offers and applications

2.  Expired debit and credit cards

3.  Credit card statements and receipts

4.  Bank account statements and cancelled checks

5.  Investment account statements

6.  Paycheck stubs

7.  Utility and phone bills

8.  Insurance policy claims and information

9.  Old tax returns

10.  Expired passports and driver’s licenses

As a professional organizer I recommend that everyone own a shredder!  You can get a fairly inexpensive, but still good, one at Office Depot.

Another good tip is to save the shredded paper and use it as stuffing for gift baskets, shipping items, etc.!  🙂

Love,

Erin

  1. Like this one! We have a shredder & it is extremely handy. I’ve never thought of using the paper as stuffing/packing! What a great idea.
