How well-versed in dining etiquette are you?

  1. 1. “At Rest” – Face-up, along the side of the plate.
    2. “Finished” – Face down (ie, tines down) in center of plate.
    3. NO – Don’t touch that place card!
    4. Eat spaghetti with a fork and a spoon (for twirling).
    5. Hmmm. There are dozens of different answers for this, depending on the type of cuisine (Italian is different from French, for example). Soup, salad, appetizer or starter (“entree” in Europe), main course (“entree” in US which makes so sent since it is the “entrance” to the meal), coffee and dessert, fruit, cheese.

  2. I am not even going to attempt this one. I think the “finished” utensils are crossed on the plate, and I’m pretty sure moving your place card is a big no-no, but the rest of these stump me!
