New Year’s Resolutions!
Well, it’s that time of year again…time to make your New Year Resolutions! I have already started my list and I wanted to share it. Maybe some of you can help me to succeed in keeping my New Year’s Resolutions!! Feel free to comment and add your own resolutions. I’d love to hear from you.
Erin’s New Year’s Resolutions:
- Get out and do more! – I have the bad habit of working too much and not playing enough! I want to be able to go out with my friends and family to different restaurants, movies, parties, anything fun! I think it will help me grow personally and business-wise! (See! I’m always thinking business!)
- Go to bed before 1:00 in the morning! – I may have a hard time correcting this because for some reason I am more of a night-time person than a morning person, although, I do feel better about myself when I get up and going by 9:30 in the morning or earlier! That’s just hard to do when you don’t go to bed until after 1:00am.
- Write a book! – Yes, you heard me right! I want to write a book! I am thinking of writing a “How To Plan the Perfect Wedding” type book, but I”m not sure. What kind of book do you think I should write?
I know that I will be coming up with some more, but these are the ones that are on my mind right now! Again, please send me your resolutions and/or comme
ents.
Great New Website for Wine Lovers!!
Sometimes I run into websites that I love and I want to share them with someone! This website is one of them – www.accidentalwine.com.
This website offers wine at a discounted price! They buy wine that for some reason or the other has been “damaged” or “discontinued” but the wine inside of the bottles is completely unharmed! For intance, they sell bottles that were next to another bottle when it shattered on the floor and thus acquired some splatter. Or they will carry wines from companies that changed their logo and discontinued their old labels. In other words, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the wine at all!
I just bough 6 bottles of a mix of red and white wine for $68! I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes, but in the meantime check out their website!!
Let me know if you buy some and what you think!
On TV!
Well, I was on tv this morning! I was asked to come on the KNOE TV8 morning show to talk about organizing and I wanted to share my segment with you guys. If you don’t know me very well, let me explain that being on tv is a bit nerve racking to me! For some reason I tend to hold my breath when I get nervous. If anyone can explain this unusual characteristic, please do! Anyway, I hope you don’t notice me holding my breath. I tried to keep myself calm enough.
Check it out here:

You will have to scroll down a bit to find the “organizing” piece.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
Recent Outfit Coordination
This past weekend I did an outfit coordination for a client and I wanted to share a couple of the pictures from it with everyone! Hopefully it will give you some ideas of how to mix and match your clothing to make new outfits! By the way, “mixing and matching” is the cover story for the winter issue of Panache Magazine! I will give lots of tips and tricks on how to maximize your wardrobe by mixing and matching. I hope you guys like it!!
I don’t like button-up shirts worn alone! They tend to look too conventional to me and I don’t find anything “stylish” about “conventional.” Purely my opinion, but don’t you think this button-up looks so much better paired with a wrap sweater? This outfit is perfect for a casual day of work or any other similar situation! If you need to be a tad dressier throw on a little skirt or pants!
I love mixing different shades of the same color! It looks awesome! You can wear your favorite color if you don’t like green! The same theory applies! Notice that I didn’t get too matchy matchy by using shoes in a bone shade instead of green. I also used gold jewelry to even the tones out. Silver just wouldn’t have looked right! I also mixed fabrics in this outfit! The shirt is a silk shirt and the outerwear is a sweater! Don’t be afraid to mix textures, fabrics, and patterns! It gives depth to the outfit.
Check out the winter issue of Panache Magazine to get more great tips on mixing and matching!
Intresting fact about water and working out
I just finished reading an article about the positive effects that water has on our bodies and health (which we all pretty much know), but this article gave an awesome tip that I thought I would share with you!
During a workout we will inevitably lose water but the amount of water we lose will depend upon the intensity with which we workout and the cirumstances that we workout in (outdoors, extreme heat, etc.). So how do you know how much water you lost so you can be sure to replace it? Here is the trick I learned: Weigh yourself before and after you workout and replace 16 ozs of water per pound you lost during your workout. AWESOME! Now I will never have to wonder if I’ve had enough water after a workout!
I hope this tip helps you!
